Today it is very difficult to not be looking at a screen. There are televisions, digital clocks, and computers to name the most common. But then we have cell phones, iPads and iPods, Kindles, Nooks, and other e-readers and tablets.
How much time do we individually spend hypnotized by a screen? That is difficult to say. But I would suggest that everyone tries to go a whole day (yes, 24 hours), without using or looking at a screen. It will be difficult. It may be painful for some. And you cannot control everything. So yes, when you are at the gas station, if you catch a glimpse of the television screen (that’s a whole nother topic inandofitself), you are still doing okay. As long as you do not find yourself actually WATCHING your screen or your neighbor’s, glimpses are essentially unavoidable.
I’ll try it too (and may even write about it…when the cleanse is over).
No TV.
No emails.
No cell phones or texting.
For one full day.
Starting now.
Or are you too weak for the challenge?
