I live in the North East part of America. In the past few months we have had to cope
with Superstorm (“Hurricane”) Sandy, one of the most tragic school shootings in
American history, and now Blizzard Charlotte (or “Nemo”). Right now, we just can’t catch a break. The blizzard is slowing down, but we have
about 3 feet of snow out there right now.
I know that is not the end of the world, but it is the first time I have
ever literally been snowed in. It’s scary,
and sort of exciting.
It is moments such as this, that I count my blessings. I have a roof over my head (*knock on wood*),
and a warm place to stay, with people who love me, and food/water to nourish me
(although I could do without a few days of food…). My thoughts are with people who are whether
alone, or without shelter. Mother Nature
is rough. I hope their lives will be
kinder to them.
