A hodgepodge of creativity, serendipity, and "worldly" observations. As random as life itself.
Pages
Welcome to my blog. I will post whatever I am working on, whether it be a creative writing piece, random blip that has made my day, or an opinion I would like to share with the world. I hope that you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing!
All ideas are my original work. I do not take credit for work that is not mine. I may borrow pieces such as comics, definitions, or quotations, but will never pass someone else’s work off as my own; I will either credit their source or make it clear that I am not their author. I merely use these as either bouncing boards from which my own ideas can take off, or wish to share something that I found worth repeating.
Remember, today is not simply something to get through, but something to treasure. So smile and enjoy it!!!

Simple Gift Idea: Emergency Kit
Looking for a creative gift idea? Make an "emergency kit," with items in it the person can use on a daily basis.
Below is an example of a Nurse Emergency Kit:
- Clip on hand sanitizer for their ID or bag
- Lotion since their always washing their hands
- Gift Card to their favorite coffee shop to keep them going on their shifts
- Put altogether in a cosmetic bag (because, everything should be functional)
- Attach the card with a safety pin (you never know when you'll need one)
- (optional add ins) Headache medicine, band aids, pad/tampon if a female, spare lunch money for cafeteria...
I could see something like this for just about anyone, with any job!

Petition for Hillary Clinton to become President
https://www.change.org/p/electoral-college-electors-electoral-college-make-hillary-clinton-president-on-december-19
Trump is currently the president-elect in America. More people voted for Clinton, and she is better for the country.
The above is a petition for the electoral college (the people who actually vote for president), to vote their conscience on December 19th, instead of only who they are "supposed to" vote for.
We have a voice. We must use it.
All Stem?
In the fall, candy corn and pumpkins are everywhere...at least in America. Not very tasty, but tradition nonetheless.
Pumpkins should be orange with a green stem (right)...what's up with the one on the left? Squat, all green, and didn't taste like the others...

Animal Crackers
I am the type of person who pours out some Animal Crackers, and yells, "IT'S A STAMPEDE!"
I'm an adult...Are adults even allowed to eat Animal Crackers? I do...

Craft Idea
If you want to
spruce up a book shelf or DVD/CD/Video Game/Blu-Ray rack, try these home-made
bookends. They are perfect for
apartments or dorm rooms that need that “lived-in” look in a jiffy.
What you will
need:
·
2 empty water bottles with the label removed
(glass or plastic of any color, as long as it is transparent)
·
Decorative colored sand/pebbles/marbles
·
Colored paper, paint and/or permanent markers
(optional)
Directions:
1. Fill
the bottles as you would make sand-art, or fill with pebbles and marbles.
2. Once
the bottles are weighed down, they will be able to act as bookends. You can decorate the outside anyway you would
like.

Differnitions
I have never been
that great at vocabulary. I was always
told to sound out the word and use context clues to figure out what the ones I
did not know meant. I am going to start
sharing some of my definitions, my different definitions, to some common
vocabulary words. Here is one:
Paradigm- 1) two dimes 2) $0.20

Love Life
You never fully
appreciate something until you lose it.
It is almost impossible to see the true value of everything until we
live without it. Honestly, how many of
you are grateful that you can climb a flight of stairs? How about that you can listen to the
radio? Drive a car? Watch the snow fall? Talk to your parents? Flip a light switch on when it gets
dark? Turn on the hot water in the
shower every day?
There is also a
difference between acknowledging that you have more luxuries in life than
someone else, and truly appreciating their value. How would you feel if you woke up one day and
could no longer walk up a flight of stairs?
If you could not walk, then you would see how wonderful the gift you had
was, but all too late.
We should value
what we have in life today, and not dwell on what we lack. Tomorrow will take enough from us; we should
treasure what we have today, while we still have it. Live, laugh, and love life!

Million Dollar Idea: "HOT" Cookware
After we turn five, or burn ourselves (whichever comes first), we know that stoves, ovens, cook tops, hobs, etc, are hot. But we are human. We forget. We get busy. We get distracted. I think there should be a complete line of cookware (pots, pans, anything that can get hot...maybe even stoves themselves) which would have the word "hot" appear for as long as it is hot. Let's face it, a hot and cold pan look the same. This would be an extra clue to remind you that the pan you took out of that 400*F oven may still be hot.

Random Thought(s) of the Day
I don't always see what other people see. I don't mean like "I see dead people..." But my mind works in different ways than most. I have the ability to see what could be, and this is why I am always shooting for the moon, chasing after my dreams. But that's another story. I also get random thoughts when I look at ordinary objects.
For example:
Does anyone else see a strip of bacon when they see this sign?
Or does anyone else see Squidward when they see one of these in the bathroom?
And that is a brief view into how my mind works.

Dear Disney Imagineers:
I love Disney, and am fortunate to have been able to visit Disney World recently. On my trip, I thought of somethings which could be made even more magical. I thought I'd share, since I doubt I'll be sitting down with an Imagineer anytime soon (although that would be awesome!).
-On the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, Barbossa's boat should be dressed as the Black Pearl (black sails, and the name painted on the ship).
-There should be a section of Epcot, where you can ride any of the major rides Disney Parks offer, all simulated. They are ready to go, and life-like. This would be great for people short on time in Disney, and maybe people with certain disabilities who can't ride the real ride.
-There should be an area or whole park for adults, with thrill(ish) rides. This can explore the dark parts to Disney (ex. villains).
-Across the lake in the World Showcase in Epcot, there should be walking bridges modeled after famous ones across the world (ex. Tower Bridge, Golden Gate). A ferry can travel the other way underneath the bridges.
-Disney Resorts should have a channel that only plays Disney movies (especially classics). There can then be pay per view or on demand for newer movies (or this can be offered as an incentive to book stays at certain times of the year).
-There should be an attraction designed around Imagineers. You can see what they do, and maybe have an interactive video experience to see what their job is like.
-Shopping while you are there should earn you special points to book another stay. (Maybe every $10 = $1 booking voucher.)
-More things should be handicap accessible. (Lines and entrances wide enough for a wheelchair, seats should be high enough where you don't have to bend down low to sit and you have plenty of leg room, and more wheelchair accessible vehicles on rides for those who cannot transfer.)
-Buses should have the front split in half: half for standing/scooters to just drive right in, and half with double seats facing forward. The back of the bus can have one wall of standing, and the other side and across the back, seats.
-There should be bus only lanes in Orlando.
-You should be able to bring your refillable mug back, and get a discount for just the drinks. You should also be able to add on other places you would like to use your mug (ex. parks, another resort).
MagicBand suggestions:
-You should have a profile online, which tracks everything you have done (it registers your reservations, you can log events, and your band should also track attractions you enter). Even if you do not have a fast pass, it should keep track of which rides you go on, and even how long you spend in line.
-There should be options on the MagicBand, such as it being able to track your steps (also registered on your profile), having a clock digital display, having reminders when you have a reservation, and being able to communicate with your party members while in the park (but are not together).
-You should be able to order exactly what you want the band to look like (character and color, even accessories) when you book your tickets.

Find Beauty Every Day
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Choose to see beauty every day, even in the simplest of places. Such as in life, the sky, and nature in general.

Random Thought of the Day
I really don't like any kind of seafood. If it lived in water, I'm not going to like it, and I won't eat it. In fact, if a chicken drowned in the ocean, I don't think I would eat it.

Million Dollar Idea: Phone Case with Contained Wristband
For times you need to carry your phone in your hand, there should be a case with a concealed wristband. The band could pull out and go on your wrist. There would be a clip to keep it snug, to add security from dropping/losing your phone. When you are done, it will go back into the case and remain stored there until next time.
Million Dollar Idea: Boobie Pouch
There should be pockets you can hook between your...boobies. So when you need an extra spot to secure something small, you will be able to keep it close to you at all times.

Million Dollar Idea: Suitcase Vise
I think suitcases (or it could be a separate item you add into any piece of luggage), should have a viselike feature. It would adjust down when you're done packing, to keep your items only in the space you have used (this way they don't roll around the whole bag...those straps don't hold down much when your bag is almost empty). When you pack for home, and have souvenirs, the vice would not come down as far (or not be needed at all).
You're welcome.

Share Your Ears for Make-A-Wish
In honor of Disneyland's 60th anniversary, and Disney recently granting its 100,000th Make-A-Wish, Disney Parks will donate $5 for each photo you share on social media (Facebook, Twitter...) with you wearing Mickey ears. The ears can be from the parks, or homemade out of just about anything round (like coffee cup lids, lollipops...). Share and tag the picture: #ShareYourEars.
You have until March 14th, and can share as much as you want. Disney will donate up to $1 million!

How to Save Countless Lives - Drunk Driving
Drunk driving is entirely avoidable, and yet numerous lives are lost each year to this reckless act of stupidity. Here is my idea for a possible partial solution...if someone could figure out the technology and governments would be on board with requiring it.
Steering wheels should be required to be equipped with blood alcohol scanners. It would be read periodically through the skin (and able to read through gloves). If at any point, the alcohol level is over the limit, license plate, and GPS coordinates would be sent to the nearest police station for an officer to pull the car over.
That way, no matter who was driving, and no matter how soon after drinking they got behind the wheel, the car would sense they should not be driving.
I'm just one person, trying to come up with ideas to help the world.

See the World
There are many places I would like to see in this world. Some, just to say I've been there. Others, I want to explore its deepest and most hidden secrets.
I have been fortunate to be able to visit London a few times already, and plan to venture there several more times throughout my life. I never want to look back and regret NOT going somewhere when I had the chance. While I am young, and single, I want to take every advantage of being able to travel.
Wouldn't it be awesome, if the world was a safe place, and everyone got along? If there were no dangerous places, and no reason to fear traveling? There are many more places I would venture. Hatred and violence are two things I cannot only not understand, but have no tolerance for. People need to learn to be better Global Citizens.
Every person should visit another country, and immerse themselves in another's culture for a few months. Maybe there would be more understanding and cooperation.
Just a thought.
