Welcome to my blog. I will post whatever I am working on, whether it be a creative writing piece, random blip that has made my day, or an opinion I would like to share with the world. I hope that you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing!

All ideas are my original work. I do not take credit for work that is not mine. I may borrow pieces such as comics, definitions, or quotations, but will never pass someone else’s work off as my own; I will either credit their source or make it clear that I am not their author. I merely use these as either bouncing boards from which my own ideas can take off, or wish to share something that I found worth repeating.

Remember, today is not simply something to get through, but something to treasure. So smile and enjoy it!!!

The Lego Movie

The Lego Movie follows the story of Emmet, an average construction worker who is so good at fitting in, that no one knows he is there.  He stumbles upon a magic piece, which a prophecy declared the chosen one would find and use to save the universe.

Then, a lot of complicated events unfold, which are only realistic because the worlds are built (and rebuilt) by Lego pieces, but are interesting nonetheless.  The story line may be basic (the Lego "master builders" are trying to stop the evil President from permanently ruining their creativity, and gluing them into place), but this film is riddled with puns, jokes, and unexpected humor, as the heroes try to save the day.

The movie is quite enjoyable.  I cannot remember laughing this much at a movie aimed for children.  I give it a 9 out of 10, and look forward to seeing it again.

The Lego Movie is 1 hour 40 minutes, rated PG, and playing in cinemas.
