We all know the
saying, “the best things in life are free.”
That usually means something non-tangible such as love. But wouldn’t it be wonderful if the
necessities of life were also free?
I’m serious. Just imagine if food, water, shelter,
clothes, education, health care, and being clean were rights, instead of
privileges. If everyone had the base of
what they needed, there would be less preventable horrid deaths, and less
crime.
Everyone would
have what they needed. Sure, if they
wanted to upgrade their (probably apartment) to a mansion, that would cost
money. People would have to work (and
everyone who wanted a job would have one) to earn money, and perhaps to keep this
credit on necessities.
Poverty could be wiped out.
Hunger could be solved. Then surplus
money could be focused on improving the lives of everyone. It could be amazing. Unfortunately, we will probably never know…
