Welcome to my blog. I will post whatever I am working on, whether it be a creative writing piece, random blip that has made my day, or an opinion I would like to share with the world. I hope that you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing!

I started this years ago, and am seeing if I want to make it into an author's blog.

Remember, today is not simply something to get through, but something to treasure. So smile and enjoy it!!!

“The Best Things in Life are Free”

We all know the saying, “the best things in life are free.”  That usually means something non-tangible such as love.  But wouldn’t it be wonderful if the necessities of life were also free?

I’m serious.  Just imagine if food, water, shelter, clothes, education, health care, and being clean were rights, instead of privileges.  If everyone had the base of what they needed, there would be less preventable horrid deaths, and less crime.

Everyone would have what they needed.  Sure, if they wanted to upgrade their (probably apartment) to a mansion, that would cost money.  People would have to work (and everyone who wanted a job would have one) to earn money, and perhaps to keep this credit on necessities.

Poverty could be wiped out.  Hunger could be solved.  Then surplus money could be focused on improving the lives of everyone.  It could be amazing.  Unfortunately, we will probably never know…

Operation Bucket List

To do what we want in life we need determination, a little help, and a bit of luck.

I am too determined to not achieve certain things in life. This summer I have been doing a lot of items on my Bucket List, and each one feels wonderful when I complete it.

I've mentioned a lot I did in London, but it's continued since I've gotten home. This week I have jumped off of a cliff, and acted in my first movie.

Cinema will always be a huge part of my life, which is evident by it being tied to 95% of my Bucket List. A few days ago I had the opportunity to be an extra in a film being produced in my state. It was a wonderful and rewarding experience, and what I hope is just the beginning of my acting career.

You should never give up on your dreams or what you love. I am going to school for one thing, but will never lose hope for what might be if all pans out. When you set out for one thing, you never know where it might lead you!

Nothing Much to Say

I am back in the US. I've been back a little over a week, and already my life seems so much less exciting. I still have much to be thankful and happy about, just a lot less to share all of a sudden.

Since my return, I have zip-lined across a quarry and jumped off of a cliff. I have decided to seize the day, and live life to its fullest while I can. I also wanted to have a good answer when people ask "oh, and if he jumped off a cliff, would you do it to?" "Why yes, and in fact, I have!" Other than cliff jumping, I think just about everything has returned to normal. In other words, I no longer have a running theme to post about, and shall return to my randomness by posting whatever catches my fancy at the moment. That could be a good or a bad thing. Hopefully more of the former.

Last Words on London 2012

I don't know who I am trying to kid.  I know London will be a big thing I keep bringing up, at least until I make it there again.  I suppose I mean my last thoughts on this particular trip.

I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to live in London for a summer.  It was also THE summer to be in London.  I arrived during the Queen's Jubilee celebrations, and left after the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics.  It was fantastic, and utterly unforgettable.

I had the opportunity to tour dozens of museums, to see quite a few plays, and to meet some amazing people.  Everything I set out to do, I accomplished.  Next time I would like to explore further outside of the city.

Between my class and on my own, I saw: "The Taming of the Shrew," "POSH," "Sweeney Todd," "Fear," "Detroit," "Democracy," "The Dark Side of Love," "The 39 Steps," "Matilda the Musical," and "Sunshine Boys."  I also had the chance to meet the likes of: Anne Hathaway, Emma Stone, Danny DeVito, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Hans Zimmer, Imelda Staunton, and more!  I also began to network with locals of England whom I came to know.  Had I stayed in London longer, who knows what I could have done!  This was by far, the best summer of my life thus far.

As you could imagine, after eight weeks of living in a city that seemed to present the whole world at my fingertips, it was quite difficult to leave.  On my way back to the States, I kept feeling as if I will one day return to London, and that was comforting.  In the words of Harry Potter: "I'm not going home.  Not really."
