Welcome to my blog. I will post whatever I am working on, whether it be a creative writing piece, random blip that has made my day, or an opinion I would like to share with the world. I hope that you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing!

All ideas are my original work. I do not take credit for work that is not mine. I may borrow pieces such as comics, definitions, or quotations, but will never pass someone else’s work off as my own; I will either credit their source or make it clear that I am not their author. I merely use these as either bouncing boards from which my own ideas can take off, or wish to share something that I found worth repeating.

Remember, today is not simply something to get through, but something to treasure. So smile and enjoy it!!!

New Zodiac Signs

You may want to double check whose horoscope you are reading, because it most likely is no longer yours.  After thousands of years they changed around the Zodiac signs.  See below for your new sign:
Capricorn - Jan 20 to Feb 16
Aquarius - Feb 16 to Mar 11
Pisces - Mar 11 to Apr 18
Aries - Apr 18 to May 13
Taurus - May 13 to June 21
Gemini - June 21 to July 20
Cancer - July 20 to Aug 10
Leo - Aug 10 to Sept 16
Virgo - Sept 16 to Oct 30
Libra - Oct 30 to Nov 23
Scorpio - Nov 23 to Nov 29
Ophiuchus (the new one) - Nov 29 to Dec 17
Sagittarius - Dec 17 to Jan 20
First of all, why do all of the signs overlap by a day?  Do people born on January 20th get to decide if they are Capricorn or Sagittarius?  I am taking it to mean that that last day is not included in the sign, but it is a bit vague.
Astrological signs are calculated by the position of the sun to the Earth and your birthday.  Since it was discovered that the gravitation pull of the moon on the Earth made the constellations be pushed by about a month, that should mean your Zodiac sign as well.  It depends how you look at the universe.  Is it geocentric, (centered around the Earth), or heliocentric, (centered around the Sun)?
It you agree that the universe is heliocentric, you might want to think twice about getting that “Aries” tattoo, because you most likely are a “Pisces.”  I find it crazy that they would alter the Zodiac signs now, especially if this was something that was known about since its conception.  Apparently there were originally 13 signs, but the last one was dropped.  The Ancient Babylonians set us up for this thousands of years ago.
For something as inane as Astrology, do we really have to change around something we have been for our entire lives?  After all, if it knew what it was talking about, don’t you think that all of the horoscopes on the day of a disaster would warn people better?
