Welcome to my blog. I will post whatever I am working on, whether it be a creative writing piece, random blip that has made my day, or an opinion I would like to share with the world. I hope that you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing!

All ideas are my original work. I do not take credit for work that is not mine. I may borrow pieces such as comics, definitions, or quotations, but will never pass someone else’s work off as my own; I will either credit their source or make it clear that I am not their author. I merely use these as either bouncing boards from which my own ideas can take off, or wish to share something that I found worth repeating.

Remember, today is not simply something to get through, but something to treasure. So smile and enjoy it!!!

Peep Fencing

So Easter is over.  What are you going to do with all of those left-over Peeps?  They tasted okay during the season, but now that the holiday has passed, you feel sort of silly shoving a marshmallow chicken into your mouth (however cute they may be).
So how do you get rid of all of them?  I am here to save you again!
Two words: PEEP FENCING!!!  So we have all been told not to place marshmallows in the microwave.  If you have not learned by experience, microwaving marshmallows causes them to expand, the air cannot escape, and the candy explodes.  I am sure you can imagine how difficult it is to clean melted marshmallow off of the inside of a microwave.  Sticky!  If you do not believe me, do not say that I did not warn you!
So the object of this is to have two Peeps fence in the microwave, the ultimate goal is to stop the time before they explode.  I realize this sounds COMPLETELY fun, right?
What you will need: microwave, microwaveable safe plate, two (or more) Peeps, two (or more) toothpicks.
What you do: 1) Stick a toothpick into the belly of each Peep.
2) Place the two Peeps about an inch away from each other on the plate, with the bellies facing each other (but not so that the toothpicks are touching the other Peep.  They should be stuck in far enough were as they are protruding from the Peep, but not far enough so it is touching the other marshmallow.  If you need to move the Peeps apart, do so, just not too far.)
3) Put the plate in the microwave, and put the microwave on for no more than ten seconds.
4) Whichever Peep pokes the other first with their toothpick is the WINNER! (If there is no winner after ten seconds, try moving the next Peeps closer together, or add more time on the clock.  Watch the Peeps closely, and if you think they are getting too big (because they expand, that is how they poke each other), STOP the microwave IMMEDIATELY!
Have fun, but be smart.  Never put metal in the microwave (or the plastic such as from the Peep wrapper).  If you are too young to use electrical appliances, ask an adult to help you.  Happy fencing!
